Tea Science

Faculties :

There are 29 staff members, including one professor,three associate professors; three of them have doctorate degrees and 25 with master’s degrees. One of the lecturers form the school is the Branch member of the national Horticulture (Tea-Science included) Teaching Guidance Committee. The lecturers have participated for many a time in the Famous-Tea Appraisal Meetings and Vocational Technical Competitions and Tea-Performance Competitions as authority members across the country.

Experimental Labs and Bases:

The school offers tea culture courses, and having a tea teaching office, a tea culture and marketing section, and a tea research center.There are a number of experimental laboratories, such as the tea chemical and inspection lab,the tea-quality evaluation lab,the tea molecular biological lab,the mechanization of the Xinyang Maojian Tea processing workshop,and so on.

The school has played a leading role in the Strategy Alliance for Tea Industry and Innovation in  Henan Province,as well as the Engineering and Technological Center for the Xinyang Maojian Tea of  the Higher Educational Institutions.

Undergraduates:

There is also a society for tea-service etiquettes and a performance team by the students. The students’ tea etiquette performance team has won the first prizes for three times,the second prizes for three times in the National Tea Etiquette Performance Competition. The Society for Tea-service Etiquettehas won the honorable title of 100 Excellent Students’Societies.
